Purpose
Bible Clearly offers plain-language Bible explanations and reading plans with sources. It is an educational tool, not a replacement for your own reading, a trusted pastor or faith leader, or professional advice.
Check the sources
AI-generated text can be incomplete or mistaken. Review the cited passages and reference links before relying on an answer, especially for sensitive personal decisions.
Source data
Selectable Scripture editions are the complete Berean Standard Bible, World English Bible, standardized 1769 King James Version, and American Standard Version. BSB, WEB, and ASV are public domain. The KJV is public domain outside the United Kingdom, where Crown publishing rights apply. Every requested passage is verified against the selected local edition. When BSB or ASV places a disputed verse number in a textual note instead of the main text, the whole passage uses a visibly labeled WEB fallback rather than mixing translations. Reference definitions come from the public-domain Easton’s and Smith’s Bible Dictionaries. Matthew Henry’s public-domain Concise Commentary may be used for questions about identifiable passages and is labeled as historical Protestant interpretation, not Scripture. Related-passage retrieval uses OpenBible.info data under CC BY 4.0. Topic discovery uses the NEUU Bible Topics Dataset under CC BY 4.0, drawn from the public-domain Nave’s Topical Bible. Cross-references, topic associations, and commentary are not presented as Scripture.
Safety
Do not use the service as emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service.
Acceptable use and limits
Visitors receive a five-point preview on each device. Registered Free accounts receive 25 points per month; Individual receives 100; Family receives 300 shared points; Individual Plus receives 1,000; and Family Plus receives 3,000 shared points. Fast answers use one point and Thorough answers use two. Reading plans use three points for 3 days, five for 7 days, eight for 14 days, and ten for 30 days. Monthly balances refresh at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month and do not roll over.
Hourly safeguards are five points for visitors, 10 for Free, 30 for Individual, 60 shared for Family, 60 for Individual Plus, and 120 shared for Family Plus. An additional connection-level safeguard helps prevent repeated anonymous previews. Do not automate requests, evade usage limits, interfere with the service, or use it to harm others.
We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or disable queries or access for any person, account, device, or connection at any time, with or without prior notice, when we reasonably suspect abuse, automated use, attempts to evade limits, fraud, security threats, service disruption, or risk to users or systems.
Accounts and saved content
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure. Reading plans are saved when created while signed in, and answers are stored only when you choose to save them. Paid study tools may let you add folders, tags, personal notes, schedules, reminders, and progress, and may provide browser-based print, PDF, or sharing options. You may remove saved items from your account. If you upload a profile photo, you must have the right to use it and it must not be unlawful, harmful, or abusive. Beta data may be affected by maintenance, so keep your own copy of anything essential.
Memberships and billing
Individual costs $2.99 monthly or $29.99 yearly; Family costs $4.99 monthly or $49.99 yearly; Individual Plus costs $7.99 monthly or $79.99 yearly; and Family Plus costs $14.99 monthly or $149.99 yearly. Annual subscriptions are billed yearly while their point allowance still refreshes each month. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period until canceled. You can manage or cancel through the billing portal in your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless Stripe shows otherwise during billing management.
Complimentary invite codes may grant a paid membership for the period shown when redeemed without requiring a card. Codes have no cash value, may be limited by expiration or number of redemptions, and may be revoked before redemption. Complimentary access ends automatically on the date shown in the account unless replaced by an active paid subscription.
Families
Family includes one additional adult account; Family Plus includes up to three additional adult accounts. Each adult account may belong to only one family at a time. Invited adults share the family owner’s point balance and may manage child profiles, connected devices, device approvals, and plans assigned to children. Only the family owner may manage billing, invite or remove adults, close the family, or enable weekly progress-summary emails. Saved answers, plans, credentials, personal notes, and personal account settings remain private to each adult until an adult explicitly assigns a plan to a child. Removing an adult ends shared benefits but does not delete that person’s account or saved content.
Child profiles and QR device pairing require an active Family or Family Plus membership. Adults are responsible for child profiles, connected devices, assigned reading plans, and supervising children who use family-oriented explanations or plans. Pairing a device authorizes that device to use the selected child profile while the family membership and device session remain active, until the session expires or an adult revokes it.
Availability
This is a public beta. Features, limits, and availability may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable.
